GATEWAY TO THE NORTH YORK MOORS
Four miles north of the market town of Pickering, on the very edge of the North York Moors, lies the sleepy village of Newton upon Rawcliffe, complete with village green, duckpond, a pub, and at the back of the village a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the moors and the steam railway station at Levisham.
From this idyllic village, you can walk in ancient woodland, discover meadows full of rare flowers and walk on heather moors that time has forgotten and all within a mile of Keld Farm which is located in the centre of the village.
From here, travel to York, Scarborough, Whitby and lots more places of interest, all within a 30 mile radius. We are about 12 miles away from Goathland where the t.v. series Heartbeat is set.
